New 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody!

Dodge is excited to announce the arrival of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody! This outstanding new vehicle will share features with the highly anticipated new SRT Demon, offering a factory-production Hellcat that has more grip for track-ready adventures. Enthusiasts can look forward to improved performance and a more aggressive look in the Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody, including many first-time features that are making their debut on a Hellcat model!

The amazing Widebody design will feature new fender flares. These fender flares will be familiar to those who have been paying attention to the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon, as that is where they were first seen. These fender flares will add 3.5 inches of width. The stunning new Dodge vehicle will also feature 20 x 11-inch "Devil's Rim" split-five-spoke aluminum wheels. These wheels ride on 305/35ZR20 Pirelli P-Zero performance tires. This addition comes after receiving requests from Hellcat enthusiasts, who have been asking for a factory-produced Hellcat that has even more grip. Dodge has introduced a new standard electronic power steering (EPS) system. The new system has SRT Drive Modes, including new selectable steering tuning specific to the Hellcat. This will work to improve handling and acceleration performance.

Dodge will continue to power their Hellcat models with the proven supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine, which delivers 707 horsepower. It has a top speed of 195 miles per hour! The Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody will offer many enhanced features in braking, acceleration, lateral grip, and lap times in comparison to last year's Hellcat. Improvements include:
  • Lateral skid pad grip increased by .04 g;
  • 0-60 mph acceleration improved by .1 second;
  • Road course lap time lowered by approximately 2 seconds per lap (on a 1.7-mile track);
  • Mile elapsed time (ET) has been improved by approximately .3 sec.

In addition to the number of features making their debut on the Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody, there are many eye-catching design techniques and aerodynamic-enhancing features to be found on the muscle-car. Drivers can look forward to a Hellcat-inspired rear spoiler and a front splitter that is shared with the Demon. There is new Hellcat-exclusive badging found on the grille, fenders, and rear spoiler. The standard Brembo brake system has two-piece 15.4-inch rotors and six-piston front calipers. The vehicle will also have a power-bulge aluminum hood which features a center intake and dual heat extractors, along with quad projector headlamps, and exclusive illuminated Air-Catcher headlamps.

The interior is beautifully crafted and incredibly driver-oriented. Drivers will love the cabin, which has been equipped with world-class materials for the highest level of comfort. Top features include SRT Laguna leather performance seats along with an SRT performance leather-wrapped flat-bottom heated steering wheel. There is also a new red Hellcat instrument panel badge. There are many standard technological features, including an 8.4-inch Uconnect system with navigation and SRT Performance Pages.
