The Grand Wagoneer, introduced in 1991, was labeled 'the gold standard of the premium SUV'. Unfortunately, production of the Grand Wagoneer came to a halt in 1991 and has been absent ever since. But for the 2022 model year, the Grand Wagoneer is returning to reclaim its formal title and take over the premium SUV segment. The 2022 Grand Wagoneer will have features reminiscent of the original models while still providing a bold, modern image. It comes in four trim levels, Series I, Series II, Obsidian, and Series III. Under the hood of each trim is a potent 6.4L V8 engine connected to one of three legendary Jeep four-wheel-drive systems. Series I
Inside the 2022 Grand Wagoneer Series I is the perfect balance of modern and classic. It features an even mixture of wood and leather for a traditional feel and metal to add a stylish industrial appearance. The two-spoke steering wheel is a subtle nod at the original Grand Wagoneer's steering wheel, while the steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls put a modern spin on it. The 12.3-inch frameless digital driver information display includes five panels with nearly 24 menu options for the driver to choose from. The floor console consists of a rotary gear dial, two cupholders, and a large storage bin. The center stack begins with a horizontal 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with Uconnect 5, the most advanced infotainment software to date. Below that is a 10.25-inch articulating touchscreen for climate controls. Both front seats are Nappa leather-trimmed, 24-way power-adjustable, heated, and ventilated. Between the second-row seats is a 10.25-inch climate control touchscreen.

Series II
The Series II builds on the solid foundation of Series I. It adds more luxury with Palermo leather-trimmed upholstery, massaging front seats, 10.1-inch seatback entertainment screens, and a digital rearview mirror. The seatback entertainment touchscreens are equipped with Amazon Fire TV with hundreds of thousands of TV shows, movies, and apps. The Series II also adds more safety technologies like drowsy driver detection, an automated parking system, and traffic sign recognition.

Obsidian
Come to the dark side with the Grand Wagoneer Obsidian and its Black Onyx exterior and interior accents. The Obsidian trim also features heated and ventilated front and second-row seats, massaging front seats, premium tinted glass, and a premium audio system. The designers of the Grand Wagoneer worked closely with McIntosh, a premium home audio brand, to develop a car sound system unlike any other. The Obsidian trim features the MX1375 system with 23-speakers including a 12-inch subwoofer and a 1375-watt amplifier.

Series III
