Option 1: Financing

Buying is more commonly known as financing. This is the process of the buyer borrowing money from a financial institution and paying it back monthly over the course of a predetermined timeframe until the vehicle is fully paid off. Once it is, you own the vehicle, free and clear. Four primary aspects are taken into consideration when creating a financing plan: total cost of the vehicle, credit score, interest rate, and loan term. The total cost of the vehicle determines the amount the bank is lending you. A down payment at the time of purchase will help lower this cost. The buyer's credit score and the loan's interest rate go hand-in-hand. Essentially, the lower the credit score, the more risk the lender is taking on, causing a higher interest rate. Before purchasing a new vehicle, you should evaluate your credit score. Finally, the most common loan term in today's automotive market is 72 months. However, customers can choose to go as low as 36 months to pay the vehicle off sooner or as high as 84 months to achieve a lower monthly payment. Some benefits of financing include no mileage limits, getting to choose where and when you service the vehicle, and the freedom to customize the vehicle to fit your needs and preferences with aftermarket parts and accessories.

Option 2: Leasing

Another option you have to pay for a new Jeep 4xe is leasing. While financing is borrowing money for the cost of a new car, leasing is borrowing the car and making monthly payments. The monthly payment payments for leased vehicles are typically lower than regular financing, as the payment is based on the vehicle's value, not its total cost. Lease terms are made up of three factors: time span, mileage limit, and monthly payment. Lease agreements typically last between 12 and 48 months. Chrysler Capital, Jeep's leasing company, offers flexible mileage limits on leased vehicles to meet the needs of almost any driver. These include 10,000, 12,000, and 15,000 miles per year. Lease terms typically end before the vehicle's new warranty expires, meaning that all routine maintenance services are required per the lease agreement, however, with the warranty, the cost is minimal. Guaranteed asset protection, or GAP insurance, is automatically rolled into the monthly payment to protect the vehicle's value in the event of a total loss. At the end of the lease term, you can either return the vehicle, extend the lease by six months, or buy out the remaining value with either financing or one lump sum. Jeep 4xe Lineup

The first Jeep 4xe model was introduced to the 2021 Jeep Wrangler, while the Grand Cherokee followed suit in the next model year. Jeep has stated that the 4xe platform will be available across the entire lineup in the coming model years. The 4xe platform features a 2.0L turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine underneath the hood. Meanwhile, the regular alternator is swapped out for an electric motor, while another electric motor replaces the transmission's torque converter. These electric motors are powered by a 17.3-kilowatt-hour, 400-volt battery pack found underneath the rear seat, protected from the surface beneath the vehicle. This setup gives both the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee 4xe an impressive 375 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. While the power numbers are the same, the efficiency numbers differ depending on the model you choose. The Grand Cherokee 4xe, designed for more daily driving and light off-roading (unless, of course, you choose the Trailhawk trim), offers a 25-mile electric driving range, 56 MPGe, and up to 470 miles of total driving range. Meanwhile, the Wrangler 4xe is designed more for ruggedness, naturally. Wrangler 4xe models get up to 21 miles of all-electric driving, 49 MPGe, and a total driving range of 370 miles.
