What Powers the 2025 Ram 1500 REV?

Ram isn't testing the waters with the 2025 Ram 1500 REV, they're diving headfirst into the electric truck class! To best the class in all categories, Ram used a 168-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack to power a 250-kW electric drive module (EDM) found on each axle. The two EDMs power all four wheels, providing the Ram 1500 REV with phenomenal handling. The REV's battery pack provides it with a driving range of up to 350 miles. However, the REV will be available with a 229-kWh battery with a driving range of up to 500 miles. Using a Level 3 EV charger with 800 volts, the battery can recharge for up to 110 miles of driving range in just ten minutes. The powertrain of the Ram 1500 REV is estimated to provide drivers with 654 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque for a 14,000-pound towing capacity, 2,700 pounds of payload capacity, and a 4.4-second 0-60 time. In addition to the performance numbers, Ram has a goal of leading the electric truck class in terms of handling and ride comfort. That's why the Ram 1500 REV uses an advanced four-corner air suspension system. The air shocks have five ride height settings; Enter/Exit, Aero, Off-Road 1, Off-Road 2, and Normal. The air shocks work in conjunction with a multi-link independent rear suspension, active leveling, and adaptive damping to provide the smoothest ride and best handling possible.

2025 Ram 1500 REV Exterior Design

Much of the REV's design inspiration comes from the current Ram 1500 lineup. However, much of it has been modernized to distinguish it as the future of the brand. The front end boasts a formidable stance with an upgraded grille and modernized 'RAM' lettering illuminated by LED lighting. The grille and 'RAM' emblem are flanked by reshaped headlight housings with LED daytime running lights with a 'tuning fork' design. With the absence of an internal combustion engine, like most EVs, the Ram 1500 REV features a front trunk where the engine would be affectionately referred to as a frunk by the EV community. Easy frunk access is provided by a power release function. Plus, the frunk provides a cargo capacity of up to fifteen cubic feet and features an all-weather lining. Additional storage can be found in the available RamBox, located on the driver's side rear fender. The RamBox can be used as a toolbox, extra cargo storage, or even a cooler, as it features drain plugs. The rear end features the same redesigned emblem as the grille, along with reshaped taillights with LED lighting.

Interior Design of the 2025 Ram 1500 REV

When designing the interior of the Ram 1500 REV, designers wanted it to remind occupants of the Ram 1500 while providing the modern comforts that should accompany an EV. This was accomplished by creating a welcoming atmosphere in a modern cabin with premium materials and advanced technologies. The center stack features a 12-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen for all your connectivity needs on the go. Another 12-inch screen is behind the wheel for a customizable digital gauge cluster. Ram has announced a new trim level to top off the lineup. In addition to the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, and Limited, the REV lineup will feature Tungsten. To take the Ram 1500 Limited to the next level, Ram gave it the brand's largest touchscreen, sitting in the center stack at 14.5 inches. The Ram 1500 REV Tungsten also provides an immersive audio experience with a 23-speaker Klimsch Reference Premier sound system. In front of the front passenger on the dashboard, the Tungsten has a 10.25-inch co-pilot touchscreen with access to entertainment, navigation, vehicle cameras, and more. Other impressive features of the Tungsten trim are the seats, which are heated, cooled, massaging, 24-way power-adjustable, and have five memory profiles.
