What are the available powertrains?

Let's just say, the Wrangler continues to get the kinds of options underneath the hood that you could hope for. The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V6, which can generate around 260 pound-feet of torque and up to 285 horsepower. You'll find either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission paired up with this engine. However, you can also choose from a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, which offers 295 pound-feet of torque and 270 horsepower. There's even a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6, which gives you 442 pound-feet of torque and around 260 horsepower. Finally, midway through the 2021 model year, a plug-in hybrid powertrain comes around, throwing a 27-kWh hybrid battery into the mix.

What are the trim options?

You are able to choose from four main trim levels with the 2021 Wrangler, including a few different packages. The base trim is Sport, which includes fog lights, tow hooks, skid plates, a 5-inch touchscreen display, 17-inch steel wheels, and crank windows. Another available trim is Sport S, which includes tinted windows, alloy wheels, power windows and door locks, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and air conditioning. Choose the Sahara trim level to get a body-colored grille with chrome inserts, automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, body-colored fender flares, a 7-inch touchscreen, and full-time 4WD. The last trim is Rubicon, which includes a soft-top roof, cloth interior, rock rails, electronic locking front and rear differentials, keyless entry, push-button start, and heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles.

What kind of safety is available?

There are some pretty solid safety features available with the 2021 Wrangler. One of the first ones we want to point out is a ParkView rear back-up camera, which comes as standard, and makes sure you know what's behind you at all times. Other great features include rear cross-path detection, blind-spot monitoring, and a ParkSense rear park assist system. We highly recommend adding in the Advanced Safety Group package, which includes forward collision mitigation, and even adaptive cruise control.
