The 2016 Dodge Challenger introduces the segment's first-ever eight speed automatic transmission, which when combined with its 305 horsepower Pentastar V-6, guarantees to deliver class-leading performance. The SRT Hellcat makes its return as the quickest, strongest, and most powerful Challenger there has ever been. This is Dodge's first time ever applying the V-8 supercharger technology. Engineered with the 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 engine, the SRT Hellcat has the ability to reach up to 707 horsepower. This makes history for having the highest rating of any V-8 engine. The supercharged HEMI engine has the option of being coupled with either the six-speed manual transmission or the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic. The powerful engine features a forged-steel crankshaft with induction hardened bearing surfaces and can stand up to 110 bar of firing pressure.

The R/T Scat Pack enables the Dodge Challenger to display the evolution of their performance and power features. The R/T Scat Pack delivers a best-in-class 485 natural and aspirated horsepower and can produce 475 lb.-ft of torque thanks to the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine when it is coupled with the six speed-manual or the TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission. Performance enhancements such as the Brembo four-piston caliper front brakes, performance suspension, isolated rack-mounted electric power steering system, 20x9-inch polished aluminum wheels with black pocket, high performance tires, and standard Dodge Performance Pages have made the 2016 Dodge Challenger the best muscle car you could want. The highly-upgraded Brembo four-piston caliper front brake allow for world-class stopping power and delivers a braking distance of up to 117 feet in 60-0 mph. The Dodge Performance Pages allows for you to control a wide array of settings such as the steering feel, transmission response, stability control, traction control, and a standard launch control.
