Under the Charger's Hood
All the Dodge Chargers come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. There is an option for all-wheel drive for the SE and SXT. The standard engine in the SE and SXT is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that is rated at 260 pound-feet of torque and 292 horsepower. The R/T and Daytona trim levels come standard with a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 395 pound-feet of torque and 370 horsepower. The R/T Scat Pack and both the 392 trims get a 6.4-liter V8 engine that gets 475 pound-feet of torque and 485 horsepower. Then the top trim Hellcat gets the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that boasts an amazing 650 pound-feet of torque and 707 horsepower.
Design of Dodge Charger
The exterior design of the Charger is scalloped body sides and an imposing crosshair grille. It gets a double power bulge hood, side door scallops, flying buttresses, and a seamless LED racetrack trail lamp. All the trim level options are SE, SXT, R/T, Daytona, R/T Scat Pack, Daytona 392, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat. The basic features are dual-zone manual climate control, six-way power-adjustable driver seat, leather wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a 60/40-split folding backseat, Bluetooth, a six-speaker sound system, keyless entry and ignition, and a 5-inch Uconnect touchscreen. Packages that are offered for the Charger are the Driver Confidence Group that adds rear parking sensors, auto-dimming driver side mirror, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert and the Technology Group that includes the Driver Confidence features plus lane departure warning and intervention system, automatic wipers, forward collision warning and automatic braking system, automatic high beams, and the power-adjustable steering wheel.
